Youth Confirmation Ministry
What is Confirmation?
         Confirmation is a Christian rite at which a baptized Christian reaffirms the baptismal vows spoken for him/her at baptism.  At the same time, it also confers upon oneself Communicant membership in the congregation.  During the rite of Confirmation, the individual confesses his/her faith in Jesus Christ, states agreement with the teachings of the Bible and with the teachings of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Confirmation Instruction, therefore, uses the Bible, the Catechism, and the hymnal in order to:

                   - gain an increased knowledge of the Bible;
                    - become prepared to receive the Lord's Supper;
                    - be encouraged to live a Christ-centered life;
                    - learn how to face the temptations and pressures of life.
                    - grow in their faith in Jesus Christ crucified for us .
